Observed annually on 21 June, the World Hydrography Day to commemorate the work of hydrographers and importance of hydrography. This important day was approved and implemented by the International Hydrographic Organization (IHO) as an annual celebration. This year, the IHO is also celebrating the 100th anniversary of its formation.
Hydrography is important for economic development, security and defense, scientific research, and environmental protection.

Global Wind Day is observed on June 15, 2021. Global Wind Day is a worldwide event that occurs annually. It is organised by EWEA (European Wind Energy Association) and GWEC (Global Wind Energy Council). It is a day when wind energy is celebrated, information is exchanged and adults and children find out about wind energy, its power and the possibilities it holds to change the world.
