The Kargil war was fought for more than 60 days and ended on 26 July 1999. Kargil Vijay Diwas is celebrated on 26 July every year in honour of the Kargil War’s Heroes. This day is celebrated in the Kargil–sector and the national capital New Delhi, where the Prime Minister of India pays homage to the soldiers at Amar Jawan Jyoti at India Gate every year.

“National Parents Day” honors all the parents on the fourth Sunday in July. No matter where our parents may be, this day serves to celebrate their important role in our lives.
Parents play a vital role in the lives of children. From our birth, parents protect, teach, guide, and serve as role models. As part of a family, we look to them for guidance. We mirror their behavior and learn to be a core part of our communities.
We can never repay what our parents do for us, but certainly we can make them feel special by paying gratitude on this special day .

Guru Purnima is observed on the full moon day of Ashadha month.
Guru Purnima is a festival which is dedicated to our gurus. A guru not only teaches and gives us the knowledge, but also shows the right path to lead our life. He is the person who helps us to enlighten ourselves and guides us to lead a happy and a prosperous life.
On this holy day, lets pay gratitude to all ours guru’s who have enlightened us with their wisdom and shown us a right path.

There are two key Eid’s (Celebration Festivals) in Islam: Eid-ul-Fitr, which signifies the completion of the Holy Month of Ramadan; and Eid-ul-Adha, the greater Eid, which follows the completion of the annual Hajj pilgrimage, at the time of Qurbani (sacrifice).
Traditionally, the day is spent celebrating with family, friends and loved ones, often wearing new or best attire and the giving of gifts.

Nelson Mandela International Day 2021
Nelson Mandela International Day was launched in recognition of Nelson Mandela’s birthday on 18 July 2009 via unanimous decision of the UN General Assembly.
It was inspired by a call Nelson Mandela made a year earlier, for the next generation to take on the burden of leadership in addressing the world’s social injustices when he said that “it is in your hands now”.
A global movement for positive change begins with small actions. As each person acts, they fuel momentum towards positive change, raising awareness and expanding the reach of Mr Mandela’s values – fighting injustice, helping people in need and practicing reconciliation.
We, the Agastians salute the visionary that Nelson Mandela was and uphold his ideology.
